It is alleged that he is involved in a number of poaching cases in
the Bijrani and Kosi ranges of the Corbett National Park. According to wildlife
bodies, poaching continues unabated in the region. In the last one year, at
least three dozen cases of alleged poaching have come to light. At Corbett
park, the government has deployed villagers on patro duty to check poaching
activities.
