Uttarakhand former Chief Minister BC Khanduri has accepted Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna's open challenge to debate on issues affecting the state. Addressing a public meeting at Govindgarh in Dehradun in support of BJP candidate for Tehri Parliamentary bypoll Mala Raj Lakshmi Shah, former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader BC Khanduri said he was ready to debate on any public platform over the issue of rising prices and other issues affecting the state.

He reminded that the BJP was solely responsible for the creation of Uttarakhand and the Congress had no role in it.
He asked the people to teach the Congress a lesson in the Tehri parliamentary byelection.
Dehradun Cantt BJP MLA Harbans Kapoor said the Congress had always promoted corruption. He said the Congress government in Uttarakhand had even stopped development works started by the earlier BJP government in the state.
BJP Yamkeshwar MLA Vijay Barthwal also addressed the meeting.
