Dehradun, October 14
The candidate of the Uttarakhand Parivartan Party, who fought the byelection for the Tehri Lok Sabha Kuldeep Madhwal, thanked the public for their support at a meeting held at party office today.

Spokesperson Rajiv Kothari said the public had taught a bitter lesson to the Congress in the election for its anti-people policies. He said it was due to the absence of the third alternative, the BJP stood to gain.
The other members too expressed satisfaction about the party fighting this election with propriety.
It was decided to hold one-day protest against the Congress and the BJP for allegedly indulging in corruption at Gandhi Park on November 1, the state formation day.
