Urging women to opt for the Prime Minister Insurance Scheme initiated by Narendra Modi this Raksha Bandhan, Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nsihank today related the scheme with the successful Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana.
Muslim women tied rakhis on Nishank’s wrist at a function at Malviya Dham at Jwalapur today. He apprised them about the benefits of the insurance scheme.
Nishank said the flagship scheme intiatied by the BJP-led Union government would benefit women falling below the poverty line by paying a small premium of Re 1 per month or Rs 12 annually. The beneficiary gets an accidental insurance of Rs 2 lakh.
“Whether working as a maid in our house or in agricultural fields, we should ensure that they avail this social security scheme. Minority community too need to come forward and ensure our sisters get covered under this social security scheme intiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Nishank said.
Ranipur BHEL legislator Aadesh Chauhan was also tied Rakhis by women. He asked party activists to hold a mass awareness drive on this insurance scheme.
