Members of the Uttarakhand Urja Kamgar Sangathan today decided to hold a protest rally in September against the state government in support of their demands.

The agitated members from Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL) have registered antipathy that the power corporations’ administration had not taken any steps to fulfill their demands, despite instructed by Chief Minister Harish Rawat.

Laxman, officiating chairman, Uttarakhand Urja Kamgar Sangathan, said exploitation of workers in all three power corporations would not be tolerated by association.
He said that date of proposed rally would be finalised soon.
