B.Ed (TET) degree holders hold a silent protest in Dehradun on Thursday.

Dehradun : 04 February, 2016

Agitated unemployed B.Ed (TET) degree holders held a silent rally in support of their year-long demand here today. They demanded that an advertisement for filling 6,200 posts in government schools in the state be issued immediately.

The protesters led by B.Ed (TET) Unemployed Association president Manveer Rawat gathered at the old Raipur bus stand. They held a meeting to discuss the issue and expressed unhappiness at the indifferent attitude of the state government towards their demand. They latter held a silent rally that passed through different areas of the city.

Manveer said they had submitted several memorandums to government officials and public representatives but to no avail. He added Chief Minister Harish Rawat gave them a false assurance that a notification against vacant posts of teachers in government schools would be issued soon. The Tribune
