PM Modi arrived today at the Harshil Army camp on the India-China border for the encouragement of Army and ITBP jawans. On this occasion, he distributed sweets to the jawans and celebrated Diwali with them. After this he reached Kedarnath Dham and inspected the construction works there.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security arrangements at the Jollygrant Airport on a one-day Uttarakhand tour were placed on high security. Intelligence agencies were also kept on alert.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Jollygrant airport from Delhi’s special aircraft from 6:47 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi left from Jollygrant Airport for Harshil on the India-China border in Uttarkashi district from the airport in the security cover of Army 4 Mi-17 helicopter at 7:10 pm.
To celebrate Diwali with the soldiers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Harshil on 7.55 in the morning. Where the Prime Minister worshiped the small Shiva temple on the banks of the Ganges near Helipad. After this, PM Modi reached Mahar Regiment’s camp. Where the Army jawans welcomed the PM.
PM Modi gave Deepawali’s congratulatory greetings to the soldiers in Harshil. In the Army Auditorium, PM Modi interacted with the soldiers and photographed with them.
Greeting the jawans on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that their devotion to duty in the remote icy heights, is enabling the strength of the nation, and securing the future and the dreams of 125 crore Indians. He said that Diwali is the festival of lights; it spreads the light of goodness and dispels fear. He said that the jawans, through their commitment and discipline, are also helping to spread the sense of security and fearlessness among the people.
The Prime Minister recalled that he has been visiting soldiers on Diwali, ever since he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He also spoke of his interactions with the jawans of ITBP, years ago when he was part of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
