Today, Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in Amethi that with the efforts of the Prime Minister and the cooperation of Russia the work of building AK 203 Modern Rifle in the closed unit in Amethi will start. 7.5 lakh rifles will be made here for the Indian Army.
Army will be equipped with a modern version AK-47 (AK-203) rifle. For this, India has entered into an agreement with Russia. According to this agreement, with the assistance of Russia, seven lakh 50 thousand (750,000) assault rifles will form in India.
For the AK-203 Assault Rifles, the deal was signed between the OFB and the Russian company Concern Kalashnikov. Companies of India and Russia will make it together. The Indian INSAS rifle of the Indian Army will be replaced by the AK-203 Assault Rifles.
Russia offered a new version of AK-47 rifle for the Indian Army ten years ago. At that time, both countries had talked on AK-103 rifle but the deal was not confirmed. Now the agreement between the Government of India and Russia has been agreed on 2018 model AK-203. It is said that this is the most dangerous rifle of AK series.
